On 23 September 2020, the AIRE Centre in cooperation with the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, launched the Report “Case Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina Courts on the Right to Liberty and Security of Person and the Right to Freedom of Expression”.
The Report was prepared on the basis of the digest of around 150 decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and 120 decisions of ordinary courts, from the period between 2015 to 2019.
In a simple and accessible manner, the Report showcases the relevant decisions of courts and the principles of the interpretation of norms from two very important segments of the European Convention for Human Rights, namely the protection of rights under Article 5 (the right to liberty and security of person) and the protection of rights under Article 10 (the right to freedom of expression).
