The Report analyzes applications of the ECHR standards by Montenegrin courts when determining custody, respecting right to trial within a reasonable time, access to justice and freedom of expression. Conclusions and recommendations are given in order to achieve greater effectiveness in the application of the Convention’s standards in the studied rights. The Report includes the practice of the courts in the period from 2015 to the first half of 2017. Therefore, it can also represent the reference point for the measurement of progress in actions of national courts, in the future.
