The second part deals with the Istanbul Convention and the obligations arising from that document, while the third part presents the standards of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). Finally, summaries of the cases in which the European Court set the standards of interpretation and application of the European Convention in the context of violence against women, are given.
