The Analysis provides the results of a comprehensive research of court practice in cases of human trafficking, which was conducted for the first time in Montenegro. The subject of the research was a total of 18 final judgments passed for criminal offenses of human trafficking before the competent courts, in the period from 2004 to 2019. In addition to the national practice, in which certain shortcomings are observed and recommendations are made for their improvement, the Analysis provides information on the most important international standards, with a special emphasis on the issue of protecting the rights of victims of human trafficking.
